Here is a summary of installation for the 38503 Cab Clearance lights.

Tools used: 1/4" Ratchet and torque bit

Scraper

Small torch

Wire cutter/ Strippers

Scraper

Heat shrink Butt Connecters

Straight screwdriver (just in case)

Step 2

Begin by removing the torque head bolts,
 the light and cut the wires.

Step 2

Then use the gasket scraper to remove the old gasket, making sure the surface is clean.

Then place 1 butt connecter in each wire
and crimp one end.

Place the new gasket over the wires.

 Notice the loop for the ground wire.

Remove the loop and strip both wires.

Step 9

 Test the connection before crimping. There is a polarity to the wires so leave the lights on while doing this.

Step 10

Confirm that the polarities are correct and crimp the other end of the connectors. Carefully use the torch to shrink the connectors for a water proof connection.

My truck did not need the new well nuts so I used the old torque heads. Note: The new screws would not work in the old holes so I just use the rubber O ring on my bolts.

Screw down tight and your ready to go!
